Half a mile from the summit, we found the ruins of a burnt down hotel, called the Overlook Mtn. Later we found out that there is a real danger of rattle snakes hiding in the tall grasses next to the trail, where we were stomping around, stalking our froggy photographee. We let him go after getting some pictures. We found a small frog hopping in the grass and caught him. The next day we took the Overlook Mountain trail to the summit. Shuan and Stacy will be unhappy to find out that Elijah's Cafe closed: After cleaning up, we went to Woodstock to see what the hippies are up to. Saturday we hiked the Diamond Notch Trail, past the Diamond Notch Leanto, to the Buttermilk Falls. It's built up on the side of a ridge, and you can almost see its iconic neon sign from the 87.
